Our Work in Class
Here is what we are working on in class. You are welcomed to work at home with your students on this material as well, through Zearn, Epic!, and other educational websites.
Reading
Working on Lexia, students have improved their word work as well as their reading skills! Students are also reading fairy tales and learning all about elements of a story.
Science
We've been working through Mystery Science and learning all about forces in Motion
Writing
We've begun our fairy tale writing unit, learning about how to create a story mountain to plan out our work and have gotten a great start on writing our paragraphs that set the scene.
Social Studies
Our Social Studies curriculum surrounds the people native to the Sammamish area. We are learning about the salmon life cycle and how Native Americans use the land and resources to survive.
Mathematics
Students have started Module 7! We're learning about story problems as well as some geometry. We've also gotten familiar with perimeter and learned how it relates to area.
